Andrew Kramer is a total machine. Not in a bad way where he is all robotic and can’t kill humans and stuff, but he can crank out the jams like none other, especially if he is with his partner in crime Dan. These are the dudes that are defining the new UP aesthetic for music making. They are the perfect combination of Four Tet-esq noise and catchy pop songs. When they first started they would play for hours, hitting their stride after the first hour and then ending at the third hour. All you could do was sit on the couch and listen; it was totally great.

What rules is that Andrew has been figuring things out. He is starting to condense down his jams so they hit you hard while still creating an atmosphere of wonder. A master of no instruments and an inspired player of all of them, Kramer creates music that is hypnotic and intoxicating. He is awesome to watch play because you can almost see the gears turning as he fiddles with knobs and sings into the microphone. As the great white hope for UP music innovation, Kramer is in a good position. All we can do is sit back and watch (or listen as the case may be).
