I've seen Waste bench press a keg. It's impressive.

Shannon is Waste. She is a super prolific song writer and always records with a single computer microphone so everything sounds like a waste (you know, in a good way). One day (while drinking whisky) she came up with the idea to write an album of songs about whisky, and I told her that was the best idea ever since she loves whisky and usually records while drinking it. (You can hear glass clinking on a ton of tracks, so you know its totally true.) The album turned out really sweet, so sweet in fact I decided that more people needed to hear it other than her hardcore group of super fans so I asked if I could release it.

That was two years ago when we both were living in Houghton and things were simpler. Since then Waste has relocated to Grand Rapids and I still haven’t put this tape out! Life just keeps getting in the way and I feel terrible. I lie awake at night and think about it. The artwork is done, everything is ready, I just need to get some tapes. That’s it! Shannon used to talk about Catholic Guilt™ and somehow that has worked its way into the project. I don’t know how it happened, all I know is that the world needs some more Waste! Songs to Drink Whisky to could be your new favorite album! Rest assured, you’ll get to hear it soon. I PROMISE!
